《创世记》 2：8 耶和华 神在东方的伊甸（西藏）立了一个园子，把所造的人安置在那里。
《创世记》 2：9 耶和华 神使各样的树从地里长出来，可以悦人的眼目，其上的果子好作食物。园子当中又有生命树和分别善恶的树。
《创世记》 2：10 有河从伊甸（西藏）流出来滋润那园子，从那里分为四道：
《创世记》 2：11 第一道名叫比逊（澜沧江），就是环绕哈腓拉全地的（由北向南贯穿云南）。在那里有金子（云南自古盛产金子），
《创世记》 2：12 并且那地的金子是好的；在那里又有珍珠和红玛瑙（云南为古代中国唯一产南红玛瑙的地方）。
《创世记》 2：13 第二道河名叫基训（金沙江-长江），就是环绕古实全地的（由西向东贯穿神州中国）。
《创世记》 2：14 第三道河名叫底格里斯（雅鲁藏布江），流在亚述（印度）的东边，第四道河就是幼发拉底河（怒江）。

《Genesis》2:8 And the Lord God made a garden in the east, in Eden（Tibet）; and there he put the man whom he had made.
《Genesis》2:10 And a river went out of Eden giving water to the garden; and from there it was parted and became four streams.
《Genesis》2:11 The name of the first is Pishon（Lancang River）, which goes round about all the land of Havilah where there is gold.
《Genesis》2:12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone（Yunnan Province has been rich in gold and the onyx stone since ancient times）.
《Genesis》2:13 And the name of the second river is Gihon（Yangtze River-Jinsha River）: this river goes round all the land of Cush（China）.
《Genesis》2:14 And the name of the third river is Tigris（the Yarlung Zangbo River）, which goes to the east of Assyria（India）. And the fourth river is Euphrates（Nujiang River）.
Explain:
The Eden in the east is (Xizang), China, and the Eden is in the east of Tibet. The four rivers flowing out of Eden are Lancang River, Jinsha River (Yangtze River), Yarlung Zangbo River and Nu River. The ancient country surrounded by the Yangtze River is China, not Ethiopia in Africa.
《柱间史》是阿底峡尊者来到卫藏后，根据布达拉管理员描述而记录成文的藏文，是公元11世纪最为重视的藏族历史文献之一。
《柱间史》（此书汉文本译名《西藏的观世音》），其主要内容是：在远古时期，雪域还没有人类，于是观世音菩萨想化度雪域有情，就让身边的一大力神猴到北方雪域深山修离苦之术，并为他受戒传法，起名“猕猴禅师”。某天，猕猴遇一罗刹女，此女几番变化要与猕猴婚配，猕猴终不为所动，罗刹女便以死相威胁，猕猴心想：与她成婚，就是破戒；不与她成婚，她就会自寻短见，如此自己的罪孽更大。他百思不得其解，只好求教于观世音，观世音看化机已到，便让猕猴与罗刹女成婚，并赐给猕猴三样法宝：一是五谷种子，二是加持宝藏开采，三是认其后嗣为佛之嫡系。猕猴与罗刹女婚配后子孙繁衍，靠观世音菩萨赏赐种五谷、采金沙、兴佛裔，衣食不愁。这个猕猴就是众生之父，即亚当，而罗刹女就是众生之母，即夏娃，而观音就是上帝的妻子。当夏娃吃了善恶果后就变成了女罗刹。
在《玛尼宝训》《王臣记》《贤者喜宴》《青史》《王统记》《汉藏史集》《敦煌古藏文写卷》等藏传经典著作都有神猴和岩魔罗刹女繁衍人类的传说，传说西藏山南泽当贡布山的比乌山哲古岩洞就是观世音菩萨点化大力神猴和岩魔罗刹女结婚且繁衍人类的地方。山南就在伊甸园，在雅鲁藏布江的南岸。
《The History of the Pillars 》was written in Tibetan according to the description of the Potala administrator after the Atiśa Venerable came to Wei Tibet. It is one of the most important Tibetan historical documents in the 11th century.
The main content of 《The History of the Pillars》(the Chinese version of this book is called 《Guanyin in Tibet》) is that in ancient times, there was no human being in the snow area, Guanyin wanted to enlighten sentient beings, so she sent a powerful monkey to the mountains in the northern snow area to practice the method of parting from suffering, and taught him precepts and called him “Monkey Zen Master”. One day, a macaque met a she-devil who had undergone several changes and wanted to marry the macaque. However, the macaque remained unmoved, and she-devil threatened death. The macaque thought to himself, “Marrying her is breaking the precepts， If he doesn’t marry her, she will commit suicide, and his own sin will be even greater”。 He couldn’t figure it out for a long time, so he had to seek advice from Guanyin. Guanyin saw that the opportunity had arrived, so she allowed the macaque to marry she-devil and gave him three magic treasures: the first is grain seeds, the second is blessing in treasure mining, and the third is recognizing his descendants as the legitimate lineage of the Buddha. After the macaques are married to she-devil , their descendants will multiply. They will plant grain, collect sand and gold, and prosper Buddhist descendants under the gift of Guanyin.
There are legends of divine monkeys and rock she-devil multiplying human beings in such Tibetan classics as 《Mani Baoxun》, 《Wang Chenji》, 《The Feast of the Wise》, 《Qing History》, 《Wang Tongji》, 《Collection of Tibetan History》, 《Dunhuang Ancient Tibetan Script》, and so on. It is said that the ancient cave of Biwushanze at Gongbu Mountain in Southern Zedang, Tibet is the place where Guanyin enlightened the Hercules Monkey and rock she-devil to marry and reproduce human beings. Shannan is in the Garden of Eden, on the south bank of the the Yarlung Zangbo River.
This macaque is Adam, the father of all living beings, while the she-devil is Eve, the mother of all living beings, and Guanyin is God’s wife. When Eve ate the fruits of good and evil, she became a female Raksha.
